    John Sudduth is an Instructor of Accounting in the College of Business and Industry at Jacksonville State University (JSU). He also serves as the faculty co-advisor of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honors organization for financial information students and professionals, which focuses on professional development of students and strengthening relationships with the professional community. Additional responsibilities involve serving as the interim advisor for JSU’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, as well as a major academic advisor for accounting students.

    He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville State University in 2004 and completed his Master of Accounting (MAcc) from the University of South Alabama in 2005.

    Mr. Sudduth began his career in January 2006, with professional experience in both public and private accounting. Areas of focus in public accounting encompassed audit and individual income taxation. His career in private accounting culminated as a Controller in Atlanta, GA within the concrete construction industry before advancing his career to higher education in 2018.

    Professional and community service includes having chaired the board of directors for Safe Haven Counseling Foundation and various responsibilities within his local church.

    Mr. Sudduth enjoys opportunities to both advise and mentor students outside of the classroom setting and strives to build upon the established reputation of the College of Business & Industry.
